On Wednesday 17th August the club are holding an open competition at Craigswood Sports Centre, Livingston, instead of the normal training session, to celebrate the opening of the upgraded athletics facilities.

The open meeting will give athletes an opportunity to compete, and try new events or set personal bests, without the formalities of league/championship competitions.

If the event is well attended, similar competitions could be run during 2012.

Full details about the competition are in the file below. As it's a short evening event, there is only a limited choice of events.

Athletes should enter using the online entry form before 9AM on Monday 15th August. There are NO entry fees.

If any friends or family are interested in athletics, they are more than welcome to enter.

There is NO training session on Wednesday - all athletes who usually attend training are expected to take part in this competition and, for any new members, this event will be an ideal introduction to competing.

In conjunction with the competition, the committee will also be holding a parents open night. This will give parents an opportunity to find out more about the club, meet committee members and coaches, purchase club kit (hoodies/vests etc.) and pick up a copy of the new members handbook.
