Club Stages

Multi-Event Stage

At the start of the pathway, the focus is on multi-event skills development. Athletes try a variety of events across track and field, with the emphasis on developing skills and improving fitness in a fun and supportive environment.

Athletes at this stage usually train once or twice per week.

Event-Specific Stage

As athletes progress through the pathway, the approach becomes more event specific, with athletes starting to specialise in a particular set of events.

We have event-specific groups for sprints, endurance, jumps and throws. Athletes at this stage would usually commit to training at least twice per week, in addition to competing regularly.

Moving up from RJT

Athletes usually move from RJT to the multi-event stage of the main club between ages 11-12, once they've developed the necessary skills and taken part in competitions.
