There was a strong contingent of 43 Livingston athletes at the West Lothian Schools Cross Country Championships which was held at Dechmont Law Park on Wednesday 9th October.

There were some excellent performances from the club athletes including 5 wins! Some highlights from the day included:

The P7 Girls race was won by Karli MacCallum in a time of 4:17. In the P7 Boys race, Arron Black was 3rd in 4:20 with Alastair Marshall just 1 second behind in 4:21.

Sarah Calvert won the S1 Girls race in 6:44 with 4 other club athletes in the top 8. Rachel Gibb was 3rd in 7:10, Tia Henry was 5th in 7:39 and Rebecca Calder and Suzanne McDowall were 6th and 8th in 7:49.

In the S2 Girls race Abby Sharkey was 2nd in 11:10. Hannah Mairs was 5th in 11:37 and Eve Allison was 7th in 11:54.

Nathan Campbell was 3rd in the S2 Boys race in 9:41 with Ewan Ballantyne finishing close behind in 9:49 for 4th.

The S3 Girls race was won by Taygan Henry in 10:52. It was a 1-2-3 from club athletes with Chloe McAlear finishing 2nd in 11:07 and Claire McDowall 3rd in 11:11. Nikki Kinghorn was 6th in 11:40 and Louisa Marshall was 8th in 11:45.

Ethan Heather won the S3 Boys race in 8:49.

In the S4-6 Girls race Katie Marshall was 6th in 11:19 and the S4-6 Boys race was won by Jake Thomas in 10:43 with Andrew Mitchell 2nd in 11:10.
