There was a good turnout of Livingston athletes at the National Cross Country Championships which were held at the end of February at Callendar Park, Falkirk.

Sarah Calvert was the highest placed club finisher, finishing 11th in the u13 girls race with a time of 14:52 for the 3.2K course. Hannah Mairs was 77th in the race with a time of 17:01.

The u13 boys ran the same course with Jason Gregory finishing 89th in 15:32.

Jake Thomas finished 12th in the u17 mens race, completing the 6.4K course in 24:53. Andrew Mitchell was 48th in 27:30 and Calum McLean was 77th in 32:18.

In the senior womens race, Yvonne Crilly ran the 8K course in 36:12 to finish 98th out of 214 athletes.

Steven Thomson was 234th in a field of 496 athletes in the senior mens race with a time of 49:23 for the 12K course.
