East District Cross Country League 3 Results

Two weekends ago there was a strong turnout of 21 Livingston athletes for the third and final round of the East District Cross Country League.

The races were local again, taking place in Broxburn, with distances for the new courses ranging from 1.6K for the u11s up to 8.7K for the senior men.

In the u11 girls race, Isla Calvert finished 5th, completing the 1.6K course in 7:09. Rebecca Calder was 10th in 7:40, Rachel Gibb was just behind in 11th with the same time and Holly White was 32nd in 8:59. The girls were the 3rd fastest u11 girls team overall!

There was also a full team again in the u11 boys race. Aidan Brady was 14th, running the 1.6K course in 6:59. Fraser Morris was 15th in 7:00 and Arron Black was 35th in 7:29. The u11 boys were placed 5th overall for the race in the team standings!

In the 2.9K u13 girls race, Sarah Calvert was 5th in 12:04, Hannah Mairs was 27th in 13:47, Lexi Dundas was 42nd in 15:03 and Kirsty McFadyen was 44th in 15:11. The u13 boys were running the same course with Jason Gregory finishing 23rd in 12:41 and Nathan Campbell finishing 24th in 12:45.

In the u15 boys race, Alastair White was 38th in 18:58 and Fraser McLean was 41st in 22:00. They were running a 4K course.

Andrew Mitchell was 16th in the u17 mens race, completing the 5.8K course in 23:44. Ryan White was 28th in 27:36 and Calum McLean was 29th in 28:38.

The senior women also ran the 5.8K course with Yvonne Crilly finishing 48th in 27:43 and Sue McDowall finishing 74th in 30:33.

In the senior mens race, covering a distance of 8.7K over 3 laps, Steve Thomson was 103rd overall with a time of 37:30.
