National Cross Country Championships

Five athletes were at Callendar Park, Falkirk, on Saturday for the climax to the cross country season - the Scottish National Cross Country Championships.

There was a massive entry with almost 2000 athletes taking part, the highest number for 15 years.

In the under 13 boys race, Fraser McLean was 98th, completing the 3.2K course in 19:34. The under 13 girls raced the same course, with Hannah Mairs finishing 90th in 18:24.

Calum McLean was 95th in the under 15 boys race with a time of 18:34 for the 4K course.

In the under 15 girls race, Katie Marshall ran the 4K course in 19:10 to finish 52nd.

And in the senior womens race, Yvonne Crilly was 80th out of 234 athletes with a time of 36:43 for the 8K course.
