The third and final round of the Central & South of Scotland Athletics League for 2011 took place at the recently refurbished Scotstoun Stadium, Glasgow, on Sunday 3rd July.

There were 33 athletes competing for the club (match 1: 34 / match 2: 41), but again a shortage of u11/u13/u15 boys (4 in total across the three age groups) meant there were still lots of gaps in the team sheet.

The club finished the match 7th and were 7th overall in the league which means we return to division 2 next year, though, in the last event of the day, a victory from the senior men's 4x400m relay team meant we departed the league on a high!

The final position doesn't reflect the fantastic effort and performance from all the athletes that did compete in the league throughout the three matches. If that effort continues, in two years time we'll be back in the top division!
