The final event of the summer track & field season is our Club Championships on Sunday 19 September.
We'd encourage
all Livingston Club and RJT athletes to compete.
This is an ideal first competition for any new members, and most athletes say this is their favourite event of the season!
Events
A provisional timetable and event listing for each age group are available in the flyer below.
Under 9 athletes compete in a 4 event quadrathlon (standing long jump, 60m, shot put, 600m), with a medal for every athlete, and overall 1st/2nd/3rd medals.
Under 11 to Under 15 athletes can enter up to 3 individual events, which should be a mixture of track and field.
Under 17 to Senior athlete athletes can enter up to 4 individual events, which should also be a mixture of track and field.
If you would like advice on what events to enter, please speak to your coach at training and they will be happy to help.
If you're doing an event for the first time, just leave the PB/SB section of the entry form blank.
High Jump, Sprint Hurdles & Discus
High jump, sprint hurdles and discus are available for U13+ athletes.
For anyone interested in trying these events, we will provide additional training opportunities over the next few weeks with our specialist coaches.
Please
contact us ASAP for further information on days/times for these sessions.
Entry
Entries must be made in advance using the online entry form via the link below with payment via PayPal. The entry fee is £10 per athlete.
Entries close on Sunday 12 September at midnight. There's no entry on the day.
The competition is open to Livingston Club and RJT athletes only.
Adult Mile Race
There will be an adult 1 Mile race at 1.30 pm for members of our jogging groups and any other adults/parents who would like to run.
Entry is free, and medals will be presented for 1st/2nd/3rd men and women.
Enter via link below.
Medley Relay
U11+ athletes can enter the Medley Relay, the final event of the day, with mixed age group teams of 5 athletes running a 400m-300m-200m-200m-100m relay, and a prize for each member of the winning team.
For athletes who enter the relay, teams will be picked at random at a training session the week before the Club Championships.
Medals
Livingston Club Championship medals will be presented on the day for 1st/2nd/3rd place in each event for each age group (U11/U13/U15/U17/SEN). U20s, Seniors and Masters will be combined for medal purposes.
All Under 9 athletes will receive a medal, and there will also be overall 1st/2nd/3rd medals.
Overall Trophies
Livingston Club Championship trophies will be presented at a later date to the overall 1st/2nd/3rd placed athlete in each age group (U11/U13/U15/U17/SEN).
The trophy winners will be decided using the Alberta Youth Scoring Tables (U11) and the
scottishathletics SATS Performance Tables (U13-SEN), with the winners in each age group having the highest points total.
Every millisecond and every centimetre counts, and you should enter the maximum number of events to maximise your points total!
Tombola
We're also looking for donations of chocolate and bottles for a tombola.
If you have anything that you would like to donate, please bring it along on the morning of the competition or hand it in at training.
We're grateful for all donations no matter how big or small.
Parent Helpers
It takes a big team of officials and volunteers to run athletics competitions. Parent helpers are needed to help with field events and relay changeovers (no experience necessary). If enough people volunteer then everyone only needs to help for an hour or so on the day.
If you're available to help, please add your name on the entry form.
