Last weekend, 15 Livingston athletes were in action at Grangemouth Stadium for the Scottish National U13/U15/U20 Championships.
Congratulations to Sarah Calvert who won double gold medals, winning both the U20 800m on Saturday and the U20 1500m on Sunday, repeating the double gold she also achieved last at the U20 Championships in Aberdeen.
Outside of the medals, the club's short sprinters were on top form with Kirsten Bowie, Maia Campbell, Ella Watson and Sophie Messenger all progressing through the 100m heats to reach the semi-finals, and Kirsten then qualifying for the final. Kirsten also reached the final of the 200m later the same day.
There was just three personal bests over the weekend, with two of these coming from Katie Craig who finished 4th in the 800m in 2:20.98 and finished 8th in the 1500m in 4:47.36.
Ricky Arthurs also set a personal best of 52.45 in the U20 Mens 400m heats which secured him a place in the final where he finished 7th in 53.67. Iona McDonald also progressed through the U20 Womens 400m heats and finished 5th in the final in 60.22.
Well done to all the Livingston athletes who competed!
Thanks, as always, to all the officials, coaches and parents for their support.
