After two fantastic runs at the England Athletics U20 Championships in June, Sarah Calvert was selected to represent the GB U20 team in the 800m at the European U20 Championships in Boras, Sweden, from 18 to 21 July.

In the heats on the Thursday, Sarah won her heat in 2:06.72 to qualify for the semi-final the next day.

Sarah had another strong run in her 800m semi-final, finishing 4th in 2:06.80 to secure a place in the final.

In the final, Sarah ran a new personal best of 2:05.68 to finish 7th in a fast final.

Well done to Sarah, making everyone at Livingston proud with an excellent GB debut and three exciting races.
