Sarah Calvert, Isla Calvert and Alastair Marshall were competing in Loughborough on Saturday for the Scotland East District team in the UK Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships.

The athletes were selected after excellent performances over the cross country season, including at the Inter-District Cross Country Championships in Stirling in January and at the National Cross Country Championships in Falkirk in February.

In the U17 Womens race, Isla was 14th out of 264 finishers, with a time of 20:40 for the 5K course.

Alastair was 83rd out of 283 in the U17 Mens race, and 4th counter for the Scotland East team that finished 13th in the team results. Alastair completed the 6K course in 20:33.

In the U20 Womens race, also on a 6K course, Sarah was 43rd in 24:07.
