National Indoor Relay Champs Results
Livingston fielded seven teams in the National Indoor 4x200m Relay Championships at the Emirates Arena last Saturday, with 28 athletes in action.
In the U13 girls race, the team of Kirsten Morris, Maia Campbell, Mia Sokoluk and Megan Forrester finished 3rd in their heat in 2:10.09, narrowly missing a place in the semi finals.
The U13 boys team of Daniel Sutherland, Max Pickard, Lucas Frame and Alex Thomson almost just missed out on progressing to the semi finals, finishing 5th in heat 5 in 2:19.58.
In the U15 boys heat, the team of Rhys Ross, Logan Tait, Angus McDonald and James Vivian finished 4th in 1:57.67, which secured them a place in the finals.
The U17 womens team of Iona McDonald, Isla Calvert, Ella Watson and Emmie Meechan won their heat in an U17/Overall club record 1:48.42 which also secured the team a place in the finals.
In the U17 mens race, Andrew Cowie, Aidan Brady, Ricky Arthurs and Fraser Morris finished 2nd in their heat, securing a place in the final by just 6/100s of a second!
The Senior mens team of Fraser Steele, Matthew Power, David Threlfall and Michael Wards were 3rd in their heat in 1:38.07, also just missing out on a place in the final.
Well done to all the athletes who competed.
For the teams who qualified for their final, the finals will take place on Sunday 25 February during the British Athletics Glasgow Indoor Grand Prix.
