National Indoor Relay Champs - Results
Livingston fielded a full complement of age group teams in the National Indoor 4x200m Relay Championships at the Emirates Arena last Saturday, with 24 athletes in action across 6 age categories.
In the U13 Girls race, the team of Ella Watson, Sophie Messenger, Erin Cameron and Bronti Jenkins finished 3rd in their heat with a new club record of 2:04.41, just narrowly missing a place in the final having finished 7th overall in the heats.
The U13 Boys team of Calum Anderson, Murdo MacSwan, Robin Threlfall and Finlay Porteous were 4th in their heat in 2:14.33.
In the first U15 Girls heat, the team of Alix Fairley, Sophie Ure, Georgia Fraser and Emmie Meechan finished second in 1:57.04.
Logan Tait, Angus McDonald, Tammo Foad and Andrew were 5th in heat 2 of the U15 Boys event with 1:51.96.
The U17 Mens team of David Threlfall, Ricky Arthurs, Aidan Brady and Fraser Steele finished their heat in 4th place, taking over 3 seconds off the previous club record with 1:39.20. The team also just missed a place in the finals, finishing 7th overall in the heats.
In the U17 Womens competition, the team of Rebecca Calder, Abby Duncan, Eilidh Brown and Iona McDonald finished 2nd in their heat with a new club record of 1:49.09 which secured them a place in the final.
The U17 Womens quartet ran faster again in the final, finishing 6th with another U17 and Overall club record of 1:48.76.
