Congratulations to Livingston AC official Vic Hockley who was awarded an Honorary Life Membership of Scottish Athletics on Saturday night at the Annual Awards Dinner.

Vic has been a technical official for over 40 years, at all levels from primary school events to the Olympic Games, officiating at up to 80 competitions per year.

Vic has been instrumental at driving forward the use of photofinish technology in Scotland, and nowhere is this more evident than Livingston's series of Open Meetings, with Vic and wife Pat officiating at every club event.

Vic also served as Convenor of the Scottish Officials Commission for 11 years and had a key role at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games as Meeting Manager of the athletics events.

The award was presented by scottishathletics Chairmain Ian Beattie, with Bill Walker of Edinburgh AC also receiving an Honorary Life Membership.
