The first East District Cross League races were held in the grounds of Stirling University on Sunday 18th October.

Eleven club athletes competed, with Elliot Frame and James Vivian making their cross country debuts for the club! In the 1.5K u11 boys race, Elliot was 11th in 5:42 and James was 36th in 6:23.

Isla Calvert won the u13 girls race with a time of 10:51 for the 2.4K course. Rachel Gibb was 23rd in 12:11, Helena Cutajar was 38th in 13:09 and Holly White was 56th in 14:21.

Alastair Marshall was the only u13 boy in action. Alastair was 46th with a time of 12:07 for the 2.4K course.

In the combined u15/u17 girls race, on a two lap 3.1K course, Sarah Calvert was 4th overall in 11:07 and Hannah Mairs was 23rd u15 in 13:37.

Alastair White was 33rd in the u17 mens race with a time of 26:28 for the 6K course and Ryan White was 122nd overall in the combined u20/senior/masters mens race with a time of 37:42 for the three lap 9K course!

Well done to everyone who competed. The next race is on Saturday 22nd November at Alloa and it would be great to see a really big turnout from the club.
