Scottish Schools Indoor Results

Twelve athletes from the club represented their schools at the Scottish Schools Indoor Championships at the Emirates Arena in February.

Chloe McAlear, Tia Henry, and Hazel Shanley all broke their personal bests in the U16 Girls 60m.

In the U16 Girls 200m, Chloe McAlear broke another personal best and Robyn Fairley ran 27.14 which not only smashing her personal best but also fast enough to put her through into the semi-finals along with Hazel Shanley. They both finished 5th in their semis. Chloe picked up a 3rd personal best on the day in the U16 Girls Short Putt with a throw of 8.24m placing her 11th in the final.

In the U16 Girls 800m, Sarah Calvert and Hannah Mairs finished 4th and 8th in their heat respectively.

Tia Henry ran a personal best of 10.37 in the U16 Girls 60m Hurdles finishing 3rd in her heat.

In the O16 category, Cheryl Lees had an impressive day of competing breaking both her 60m and 200m personal bests to qualify for the semi-finals where she finished 7th and 4th respectively.

Chloe Naismith also had a successful championships finishing 3rd in her heat in the O16 Girls 300m.

The boys ran equally well with a new personal best from Ewan Ballantyne in the U16 Boys 200m with a time of 24.90, progressing him through to the semi-final where he placed 6th.

Alastair White had a busy day competing in the O16 Boys 800m, 60m Hurdles, and Long Jump, with personal bests in both the 800m and Long Jump.
