Sadly on 23rd December 2013, former club member Kate Thomson, 22, passed away. After a 6 month battle with Hodgkin Lymphoma Kate finally succumbed to pneumonia surrounded by her family and friends.

Kate, along with her sister and brother, Laura and Matthew, were members of the club for many years. She was a keen thrower but was also known to partake in various cross country and track events.

It is great loss of a vibrant personality and she will be dearly missed.
