East District Cross Country League 2 Results

Nineteen Livingston athletes travelled to Lornshill Academy in Alloa on 23rd November for the second round of the East District Cross Country League.

In the 1.4K u11 girls race, Isla Calvert was 4th in 5:48 and Karli MacCallum was 7th in 5:54.

The u11 boys competed over the same course with Fraser Morris finishing 6th in 5:47 and Alastair Marshall finishing 29th in 6:18.

There was a strong club entry in the 2.5K u13 girls race with 6 club athletes competing. Sarah Calvert ran an excellent race to finish 2nd in 11:08. Rachel Gibb was 26th in 12:43, Iona McDonald was 31st in 12:56, Rebecca Calder was 39th in 13:17, Holly White was 52nd in 16:11 and Heather Scott was 55th in 17:44. Overall the u13 girls team were placed 4th for the race and are currently sitting 3rd for the season.

Aidan Brady was the only club athlete in the u13 boys race. Aidan finished the 2.5K course 42nd in 11:51.

The u15 athletes ran in a combined boys and girls race over 3.5K. Hannah Mairs was 53rd in the girls race with a time of 19:44. In the boys race, Ethan Heather made his cross country debut for the club with a 11th place finish in a time of 13:40. Fraser McLean was 40th in 18:05.

Four club athletes started the u17 mens race but just three finished the challenging 5.4K course. Andrew Mitchell was 10th in 22:09, Alastair White was 30th in 25:19 and Calum McLean was 34th in 26:56. The club's u17 mens team were placed 4th on the day.

In the combined junior/senior/masters mens race over an 8K course, Ryan White was 166th overall in a time of 40:37.

Well done to all the athletes for taking part in what was a challenging but rewarding course.
