The East District Cross Country Championships took place in Camperdown Park, Dundee, on Saturday 8th December.
Seven club athletes took part in this event, in sub-zero temperatures and snowy conditions!
The first race of the day was the u13 girls, running 3.2K, Sarah Calvert was the first club athlete to finish, finishing 5th in a time of 13:10. Rachel Gibb was next, finishing 29th in 15:32, followed by Heather Scott who was 37th in 22:03. The girls team placed 6th overall.
In the u15 girls race, Hannah Mairs finished 31st, completing the 4K course in 19:15. In the boys race, Ethan Heather finished 21st running the same distance in 15:10.
Andrew Mitchell finished the u17 mens race in 18th place, timed at 24:03 for the 6.4K course.
Steve Thomson was the only senior competing. He finished the mens 9.6K race in 162nd, in a time of 41:29.
Conditions were challenging but the athletes again proved their determination to succeed regardless.
