Last Sunday, five of Livingston's senior male athletes were at Grangemouth for the penultimate round of the Scottish (Mens) Athletics League.

In the jumps, Shawn Wright won the 'B' long jump with a personal best and club u20 record of 5.99m. Shawn was also 2nd in the 'A' triple jump with a distance of 11.97m.

Andrew Mitchell made his men's league debut in the 800m with a new personal best and 3rd place finish in the 800m 'B' race with a time of 2:08.64.

Andrew was also 3rd 'B' in the 1500m with another best of 4:41.28, while Craig McDowall was 3rd 'A' in 4:17.92.

New recruit Senthil Kumar Ganesan, also making his men's league debut, won the 'A' javelin after a close final round with a club record throw of 48.66m!

In the sprints, Shawn Wright set a wind-assisted best of 11.44 with a 3rd place finish in the 'A' 100m, and was 2nd in the 'A' 400m with a time of 52.66.
