Five club athletes were at Grangemouth on the second weekend in June for the Scottish Secondary Schools Track & Field Championships.

In the U14 Girls 200m, Chloe McAlear was 6th in her heat with a time of 29.63 while Taygan Henry was 7th in her heat with a personal best of 30.10.

Taygan was also 4th overall in the high jump with another personal best of 1.40m. Taygan only missed a silver medal on a count-back.

In the U17 800m, Andrew Mitchell was 6th in his heat with a personal best of 2:10.63 and Jake Thomas won in his heat in a time of 2:04.46 to qualify for the final.

In a fast paced final, Jake was 5th in 2:01.75.

In the O17 events, Shawn Wright was competing in the 200m, 400m and triple jump.

Shawn set a personal best of 23.18 in the 200m heats with a 2nd place finish in heat 3 securing his place in the final. In the final, Shawn ran 23.19 to finish 4th.

In the 400m, Shawn finished his heat 3rd in 51.52 to qualify for the final. With a new personal best of 50.44, Shawn finished 2nd in the final to collect a silver medal.

Shawn picked up a second silver in the triple jump with a distance of 11.37m.
