On Saturday 21st April, while Livingston's junior athletes were at Grangemouth for the Forth Valley League, the club's senior male athletes were at Meadowbank for the first round of the Scottish Athletics League.

Shawn Wright (U20) and Jake Thomas (U17) were both competing in the league for the first time.

In a fast paced 800m 'A' race, Jake was 4th in 2:01.53, an outdoor personal best.

In the jumps, Shawn won the 'A' triple jump in 12.11m and the 'B' high jump in 1.50m.

Shawn was also 4th in the 'A' 100m with a personal best of 11.73.

John McOmish was 1st in the 'B' javelin with 25.23m, 2nd in the 'B' hammer with 22.26m and 2nd in the 'B' shot putt with 8.53m.
