East District Cross Country League 2 Results

Two weeks ago, there was an impressive turnout of Livingston athletes for the second round of the East District Cross Country League.

The races took place behind Deans CHS at Dechmont Law Park with distances ranging from 1.5K for the u11s up to 9.6K for the senior men.

In the under 11 girls race, Sarah Calvert put in an excellent performance to finish 3rd, completing the 1.5K course in 6:06. Tia Henry was close behind, finishing 15th in 7:05.

Alastair Marshall was 28th in the u11 boys race, running the 1.5K course in 7:04.

In the 2.5K under 13 girls race, Louisa Marshall was 21st in 11:00, Hannah Mairs was 25th in 11:26 and Taygan Henry was 26th in 11:39. In the team placing, the girls finished 5th out of 19 teams!

The under 13 boys were also running the 2.5K course. Nathan Campbell was 25th in 10:07, Stuart Garvin was 26th also with a time of 10:07 and Fraser McLean was 35th in 11:24. The boys were 6th out of 19 teams!

In the u15 girls race, Katie Marshall was 16th with a time of 15:14 for the 3.5K course. Calum McLean was 35th in the u15 boys race, finishing the same course in 15:39.

Yvonne Crilly completed the 6.4K two lap senior womens race in 28:20, which placed her 23rd overall and 5th master.

In the senior mens race, covering a distance of 9.6K over 3 laps, Daniel Fulton was 90th overall and 10th junior in 40:03 while Steve Thomson was 97th overall and 33rd master with a time of 40:20.

The third and final round of the East District Cross Country League takes place at Broxburn on Saturday 14th January.
