Every Saturday morning, Parkrun offer free 5K timed runs for runners of any standard at various venues across the UK. The nearest venues to Livingston are Crammond/Silverknowes Promenade, Edinburgh, and Callendar Park, Falkirk.

Over the last two months, ten Livingston athletes have completed numerous Parkruns. Some highlights include:

■ On 24th September, at the Falkirk Parkrun, Alastair Marshall (u11b) was 2nd in the u15b category with a personal best of 22:44, knocking almost 2 minutes off the best he set the previous week!

■ On 22nd October, at the Falkirk Parkrun, Andrew Mitchell (u17m) was 1st in the u20m category with a personal best of 20:39, Katie Marshall was 1st in the u15g category with a pb of 22:42 and Louisa Marshall was 2nd with a pb of 23:23.

■ On 29th October, at the Edinburgh Parkun, in the u15g category Sarah Calvert (u11) was 1st in 21:10 and Isla Calvert (u9) was 4th in 24:40.

■ On 5th November, at the Edinburgh Parkrun, Avril Pearson was 1st in the w40 category with a personal best of 19:40.
