After topping the Tyne Division of the National Junior League, five of the clubs under 17 and under 20 athletes travelled south to Wigan on 7th September to compete for Team Forth Valley in the Northern Promotion Match.

Match highlights from the Livingston athletes included Ian Hardacre knocking 1 second off his 1500m personal best with a time of 4:20.8 in his 8th 1500m race of the season, and Robyn McDowall's personal best of 12:51.1 in her third 3000m.

With another outstanding team performance, Team Forth Valley finished the promotion match in first place, beating their second placed West Coast rivals by just 12 points, to win one of two promotion spots in the Northern Premier Division.
