Congratulations to Jake Thomas who finished 3rd in the final of the Derek McLean Memorial 800m race, held at Crownpoint, Glasgow, last Tuesday.

In the qualifying heats the previous week, Jake was 2nd in his heat with a comfortable time of 2:11.5.

In the closely fought tactical final, Jake ran 2:08.1 to finish 3rd.

The race is held annually with the top 20 u15 800m runners in Scotland invited to take part.
