Combined Events Championships

The 'Bank of Scotland' U13/U15/U17 National Combined Events Championships were held at Perth last weekend, with
Sports Tayside & Fife hosting a simultaneous open combined events championships for other age groups.
Congratulations to the four club athletes that took part; Megan Laing, Alice Fisher, Vicky Dalziel and Jillian Gisbey.
In the under 11 girls triathlon, Megan Laing finished 6th overall, with personal bests of 3.44m in the long jump and 4.58m in the shot putt, while just narrowly missing a personal best in the 100m.
In the two day under 17 girls heptathlon, Jillian Gisbey finished her first heptathlon in 4th place with 2465 points, and managed personal bests in the 200m, with a time of 28.24, and in the javelin, with a throw of 14.10m.
In the under 15 girls pentathlon, Alice Fisher and Vicky Dalziel, competing in their 3rd pentathlon of the season, both achieved personal bests in the 800m and the long jump.
Alice Fisher finished the 800m in 3:05.94 and jumped 4.05m in the long jump, while Vicky Dalziel managed 2:40.36 in the 800m and 4.23m in the long jump, helping her on the way to a 6th place finish and a pentathlon personal best of 2380 points.
