With the 2007/2008 season coming to a close, the club's hard-core athletes have been taking advantage of the mid-week open graded meetings in a final attempt at improving their personal bests before the season ends.

On Wednesday, 27th August, Craig McDowall ventured westwards along the M8 to the Linwood Open Graded Meeting where he knocked almost 1 second off his 1500m personal best, running a time of 4:17.21.

Closer to home, at the Grangemouth Open Graded Meeting last Wednesday, Ryan Stuart managed a personal best of 4.77m in the long jump, while Alice Fisher and Vicky Dalziel achieved personal bests in the shot putt of 7.01m and 9.48m respectively. Alice Fisher later pulled off a personal best double with her javelin throw of 16.24m.
