Six of the club's young athletes were in action over the weekend, where they competed in the "Bank of Scotland" U13/U15/U17 Championships at Grangemouth Stadium, managing between them an impressive tally of three medals and two personal bests.

In the under 15 Boys High Jump, Matthew Thomson jumped 1.71m to gain a silver medal. However, in a repeat of his Scottish Schools performance, Matthew actually jumped the same height as the eventual winner and was unlucky to lose first place only on a "count back".

Congratulations also to Craig McDowall, whose time of 2:01.88 in the Under 17 Mens 800m was enough to knock his adversary from the heats into 3rd place and earn himself a silver medal.

The club's third medallist was Robbie Nairn (pictured), who collected a bronze medal after a throw of 7.50m in the Under 13 Boys Shot Putt.

Well done also to Vicky Dalziel who narrowly missed a medal in the Under 15 Girls Shot Putt, with a personal best throw of 9.16m giving her a fourth place finish.
