Seven Livingston athletes were in action last weekend at the combined East District Cross Country League and Championships races, held at Dechmont Law Park, Livingston.

In the u11 girls race, Sarah Calvert had an impressive run to finish 10th, completing the 1.5K course in 7:09.

Matt Crosbie and Ben Lumsden were competing in the u11 boys races for the second time having made their club debuts at the cross country league at Broxburn in November. Matt finished the 1.5K course 17th in a time of 6:53, while Ben was 32nd in 7:43.

Due to the cancellation of the East District Cross Championships in December, the races for older age groups were all combined league and championship races.

In the u13 girls race, Taygan Henry finished the 2.5K course 18th in 11:51 while Louisa Marshall was 27th in 12:35.

Yvonne Crilly was 57th overall in the senior womens race and 4th fastest in the W45 category, completing the 6.4K course in 29:53.

In the senior mens race, Steven Thomson finished the 9.6K course in 42:38 which placed him 112th overall and 7th in the M50 category.
