Four Livingston athletes were competing at the recently refurbished Scotstoun Stadium, Glasgow, last weekend in the Scottish U17 National Championships.

Having had a successful season in league competition, this was a chance for the club's under 17 athletes to test themselves against the best athletes in Scotland.

The weekend started with the high jump competition with Shona Herron jumping 1.45m to finish 7th, just 5cm short of equalling her personal best.

The 100m heats were next. Eileen Hulse finished her heat in 7th place with a time of 14.10, while Shona ran a season's best of 13.96 in her heat to finish 6th.

In the under 17 mens 400m heats Daniel Fulton finished 5th in heat 1 in 56.02.

In the afternoon Shona and Eileen were in action again in the long jump. Shona finished 7th with a best jump of 4.53m, the 3rd time she has broken 4.50m this season, while Eileen finished 8th with a best jump of 4.20m.

Vicky Dalziel was at Scotstoun on Sunday for day 2 of the competition. Vicky was 4th in the shot putt with a best throw of 8.97m, 90cm short of the personal best she set in June 2010.
