World Para Athletics Championships

Livingston's Finlay Menzies made his mark on the global stage at the World Para Athletics Championships in New Delhi, India.
His campaign began in the 400m Frame Running (T72) heats, where he crossed the line first in what would have been a personal best. Unfortunately, a lane infringement ruling saw him disqualified, but the performance showed he was ready to compete with the very best.
Next came the 100m Frame Running (T72). In the heats, Finlay powered to second place in a superb personal best of 16.38, booking his place in the final later the same day.
In the final, Finlay rose to the occasion once again, producing another personal best with a time of 16.29 to secure the bronze medal and a place on the World Championships podium.
A huge achievement and a fantastic reward for his hard work, dedication and talent.
