Entry forms were handed out on Wednesday night for the Lothian & Borders Trials on Sunday 11th April at Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh.

This is the traditional summer season opener, with athletes choosing what events they enter, and the results being used to guide selection for the first round of league matches in late April.

Everyone wanting to compete for the club in league matches this season is encouraged to enter.

This is the first of three competitions in the "Lothian & Borders" series during the summer season, the other events are on Sunday 9th May and Sunday 6th June, with the format revamped for 2010:

■	As in previous years, the 11th April match is trials for all age groups for club league selection and composite team selection.
■	The 11th April & 9th May matches are also trials for u20/senior athletes for the Scottish Inter-Regional Match on Sunday 16th May.
■	For u11/u13 athletes, at all matches, a selection of events marked (C) on the timetable are U11 & U13 Closed Lothian & Borders Championships events with heats, finals and medals.
■	Events for other age groups, and the non championships u11/u13 events, are run in an open graded format - heats only, which are graded by standard, with final placings based on electronic timing.
■	All matches will be scored with a trophy for the winning area (West Lothian / Edinburgh / East Lothian / Midlothian & Borders).
