Congratulations to John McOmish who won a bronze medal in the shot putt at the Scottish Universities Indoor Championships, held at Kelvin Hall on Saturday.

John threw the 7.26kg shot 8.19m to set a new personal best and narrowly miss winning the silver medal!

John's previous personal best of 7.78m was set in August 2007 during the infamous Central & South of Scotland League match at Wishaw.
