Closed U15/U17 Indoor Championships

Three Livingston athletes were at the Kelvin Hall on Saturday for day 1 of the Scottish Closed U15/U17 Indoor Championships.

Robbie Nairn was competing in the u15 60m and shot putt. Robbie ran 8.40 in his 60m heat, narrowly missing a personal best. In the shot putt, Robbie's best throw of 7.58m gave him a 3rd place finish and a bronze medal!

In the other u15 events, Jake Thomas was competing in the 400m and 800m. Jake ran a personal best of 2:19.90 in the 800m final to pick up a silver medal, and then ran 64.76 in the 400m final just an hour later to win a bronze medal!

Scott Henderson was competing in the u17 60m and triple jump. With a personal best time of 7.57, Scott finished his 60m heat 4th, narrowly missing qualification to the final. In the triple jump competition Scott set another personal best, adding almost 50cm to his pervious PB to finish 4th with a best jump of 10.72m.
