2 November 2009
| ■ | The district & national championships for u13 athletes have been replaced with two "U13 SuperTeams Championships" events in January and February. Athletes compete in club teams of four athletes. |
| ■ | For u15 and u17 athletes, the separate east/west district championships in January have been combined into a single "Scottish Closed Championships" for each age group. |
| ■ | For u20 and senior athletes, the previous 2 day "Closed Indoor Championships" has been replaced with a 5 team Inter-Regional match. Livingston athletes will be part of the Central & East team. |
| ■ | For all age groups, the Grangemouth Open Graded Meeting on 2nd December 2009 is now the "Central and East Indoor Regional Championships". |
| ■ | For some Inter-Regional match events, selection will be solely based on the results of the Central and East Indoor Regional Championships. |
| ■ | The main indoor "track & field" events for most athletes will be the "Scottish Athletics Indoor League", with matches in December, January and February in Glasgow. Availability forms will be handed out in mid-November. |
| ■ | For additional competition opportunity, there are several open graded meetings at Edinburgh and Grangemouth in the New Year. At open graded events, athletes register themselves on the day of the competition and choose their own events. Heats are graded so athletes compete against people of a similar standard. |
| ■ | For higher level competition, and the chance to win medals, there are regional, closed, school and national championships. Further details about registering for these events will be posted on the club website throughout the season. |
| ■ | The main cross country events are the East District League matches, with two remaining at Dunfermline in November and at Broxburn in January. |
| ■ | For additional competition there are district championships in December at Livingston and the national championships in February at Falkirk. |
