Three club athletes were in action yesterday despite the horrendous weather.
Calum McLean and Megan Laing were competing in Lasswade AC's 28th open cross country meeting at Gorebridge.
Calum finished 24th in the under 13 boys event with a time of 16:40 for the 2 mile course, while Megan finished 25th in the under 13 girls race in 20:39.
Slightly further afield, Tina Miller was taking part in her 9th 10K race of the year at Strathaven, in Strathaven Harrier's aptly named "Run With the Wind" 10K.
Despite the monsoon conditions and the undulating course, Tina ran the 10K route in an impressive time of 52:05, her 3rd fastest ever performance, to finish 8th in her age category.
