Livingston AC's Open Combined Events Championships returns to Craigswood Sports Centre on Sunday 5 August.
This is a great opportunity for club athletes with an interest in multi-events to try something new at their local track.
Combined Events
The Combined Events Championships is a pentathlon (five events) for U13 to SEN athletes and a quadrathlon (four events) for U11s. The events included are:
- Quadrathlon (U11) - 80m, 600m, Long Jump & Shot Putt
- Pentathlon (U13-SEN) - Sprint Hurdles, 800m, High Jump, Long Jump & Shot Putt
Medals will be presented for 1st/2nd/3rd place for each age group (U11/U13/U15/U17/SEN). Under 20 and Seniors will be combined for medal purposes.
Mile
During the afternoon there will be an open series of Mile races.
The races will be seeded based on performance (not age group), with the heats ordered fastest to slowest.

Entry
Entries must be made in advance using the online entry form via the link below. There are no late entries or entries on the day.
The closing date for all entries is midnight on Monday 30 July.
The entry fee is £10.00 per athlete for the combined events (quadrathlon, pentathlon) and £5.00 per athlete for the open track races (Mile).

Event times are provisional and subject to change on the day depending on the finishing time of other events to allow sufficient rest periods. Please listen for announcements throughout the day.

Age Groups
U11: Born 01/09/2007 or later
U13: Born 01/09/2005 - 31/08/2007
U15: Born 01/09/2003 - 31/08/2005
U17: Born 01/09/2001 - 31/08/2003
U20: Born 01/01/1999 - 31/08/2001
SEN: Born 31/12/1998 or earlier
Athletes must be at least 9 years of age on the day of competition.
Volunteers
It takes a big team of officials and volunteers to run athletics competitions. Volunteers are needed to help officiate the field events (no experience necessary). If enough people volunteer then everyone only needs to help for an hour or so on the day.
For club athletes who aren't competing, this is your chance to "give something back" by helping out.
