Three Livingston athletes were competing over the weekend in the Scottish Athletics U15/U17 National Championships at Grangemouth Stadium.

Under 15 athletes Scott Henderson and Shawn Wright both contested the 100m and the long jump, while Vicky Dalziel, under 17, was competing in the 80m hurdles and the shot putt.

Scott finished his 100m heat in 4th place, equalling his personal best with a time of 12.40, while Shawn was 5th in his heat with 12.75, knocking a massive 0.65s off his personal best.

Scott finished the long jump final in 6th place with a jump of 4.73m, while Shawn was 8th with 4.57m.

Vicky was 4th in her 80m hurdles heat with a time of 13.05 and qualified for the final, in which she ran 13.05 again to finish 7th overall.

In the shot putt final Vicky finished 5th with a huge throw of 9.37m, adding 56cm to the personal best she set at the Lothian Trials in April 2009.
