After excellent performances over the last few months in the East District Cross Country League races and the East District Championships, Charlie Maree Nolan, Isla Calvert, Alastair Marshall, Katie Craig and Sarah Calvert were selected to represent the East District team at the Inter-District Cross Country Championships.

The Championships were held last Saturday at Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, alongside the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country event.

In the U15 girls race, Isla finished 4th and was the 3rd placed East runner with a time of 15:49 for the 4K course, helping the East District team secure a team gold medal. Charlie finished 29th in 17:28.

Alastair finished 10th in the U15 boys race, completing the 4K course in 14:30. The East District team won another team gold medal, with Alastair the 5th placed East runner.

In the U17 womens race, Sarah was 8th in 16:35 and 4th for the East District team, with the East team again winning a team gold medal. Katie was 23rd in 17:45. The U17 women were also running a 4K course, but a more challenging route than the U15s.
