During September, a few of our senior athletes were competing at open meetings across the country, as they chased personal bests before the summer season finished.

At the East Lothian Open Graded Meeting at Meadowmill, Stephen Leek set a new personal best in the javelin with a throw of 41.45m.

Jake Thomas was in action at the Gold Standard BMC meeting at Trafford, where he set a seasons best of 1:59.25 in the 800m.

At the Perth Open Meeting on Saturday 2 September, Matthew Power set a new personal best in the long jump with 5.42m.

Sharon Grierson set a new personal best in the shot putt with a throw of 7.39m at the Scottish Throws Grand Prix at Craigswood on Saturday 9 September.
