There was three Livingston athletes in action at Grangemouth over the weekend for the Scottish National Combined Events Championships.
Eve Allison was competing in her first heptathlon, with the 200m and javelin added over 2 days to the pentathlon events. On Saturday, Eve set a wind assisted best in the 200m with 28.29, and almost equalled her high jump best with 1.54m, to finish "Day 1" in 2nd place on 2362 points.
After the long jump on Sunday morning, Eve moved down to 4th place. However, a personal best of 22.97m in the javelin moved Eve to 3rd, and a massive best of 2:33.86 in the 800m secured Eve a silver medal!
Matthew Boules was also competing in his first decathlon, with 10 events over 2 days. Matthew finished "Day 1" on 2654 points, with a personal best of 9.89m in the shot putt and coming very close to a personal best in the high jump with 1.76m.
On "Day 2", Matthew set new personal bests in the pole value (2.60m), discus (27.67m) and 1500m (5:14.10). After the 10 events, Matthew finished 5th with a club record decathlon score of 4583.
Taygan Henry started the U20 Women's heptathlon but withdrew after the first day. Taygan set a wind assisted best in the 100m hurdles with 16.47.
Well done to all the athletes for making everyone at Livingston proud with two days of amazing performances.
