Just three days after competing in the Under 20 National Championships at Grangemouth, middle distance duo Amanda Campbell and Craig McDowall were back in action on Wednesday night at the Golden League open graded competition at East Kilbride.

Amanda finished her race in 5th place with a time of 2:14.69 - her 2nd fastest ever 800m time, and almost 4 seconds faster than her weekend performance at the Under 20 nationals.

Craig was 3rd in his race, with a closely matched and competitive field pushing him to a personal best of 1:57.48, more than a second faster than his previous best set at Milton Keynes in May 2009.
