Four of the club's middle distance runners took part in the Self Transcendence 3x 1 Mile Relay competition held at The Meadows, Edinburgh, on Wednesday 29th July 2009.

Each of the four competed in different teams, with the other team members coming from Lothian Running Club.

Craig McDowall was the first leg runner for his team, finishing his 1 mile lap in 7th place in 4:44, four seconds faster than his time at last years event. His team eventually went on to finish in 10th place overall.

Amanda Campbell ran the second leg for her team, with a time of 5:22 making her the 5th fastest female runner on the night. Amanda's team finished 11th overall, but were the fastest female team!

Chris Northam was the final leg runner for his team, with his lap of 5:49 securing his team's place as fastest male masters team.

The fourth Livingston athlete competing was Robyn McDowall, running the first leg for her "Forth Valley" team in 6:17.
