There were a few personal bests at the "HASL" match held at Meadowbank Stadium, Edinburgh, on Sunday 2nd August 2009.

In the under 13 boys discus, Robbie Nairn threw 18.85m, adding 1.65m to his previous personal best which was set in May 2009 at the 2nd CSSAL match. Robbie was also 2nd in the shot putt event with a throw of 8.95m.

In the under 17 womens events, Shona Herron set personal bests in the 200m and long jump. Shona's 200m time was 28.27, which was over half a second faster than her previous personal best despite starting into a strong wind, and in the long jump event Shona finished 3rd with a personal best of 4.23m.

In the senior events, Robyn McDowall won the female 800m race with a time of 2:38.24, while the senior mens team were first in the 4x 400m relay, with the team of Craig McDowall, Danny Nicoll, Andy Pollock and Alistair Dalgleish running the four lap race in 3:41.91.
