After excellent performances over the last few months in the East District Cross Country League races and the East District Championships, Charlie Maree Nolan, Isla Calvert and Sarah Calvert were selected to represent the East District team at the Inter-District Cross Country Championships.

The Championships were held last Saturday at Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, alongside the Great Edinburgh International Cross Country event.

In the U13 girls race, Charlie finished 16th and was the 8th placed East runner with a time of 12:23 for the 3K course. The East District team were 2nd in the U13 girls event.

Isla finished 9th in the U15 girls race, completing the 4K course in 15:35. The East District team finished 2nd, with Isla the 2nd placed East runner.

In the U17 womens race, Sarah was 11th in 16:01 and 8th for the East District team, with the East team having a convincing win over the other Districts. The U17 women were also running a 4K course, but a more challenging route than the U15s.
