Female athletes from Livingston and District AAC helped the Lothian Select team to finish second overall in the Scottish Women’s Athletics League recently.

There were a number of outstanding performances at the meet, held at Grangemouth Stadium last Sunday (July 14), with Rosanna Mooney receiving an award as the top overall Under 17 athlete of the match.

The results of the West Lothian athletes at the meet were:

Under 13: Rachael McKie, 70m hurdles, 6th; 200m, 4th.

Under 15: Keri MacKenzie, 75m hurdles, 5th (PB)

Under 17: Rosanna Mooney, 300m, 2nd (PB); 800m, 1st. Clare Paterson, 800m, 6th; shot put, 2nd (PB). Joanne Simpson, 300m hurdles, 4th; 80m hurdles, 4th.

Seniors: Carrie-Anne Tugman, 400m, 2nd (PB); high jump, 3rd. Michelle Henderson, 100m, 3rd; 200m, 3rd.
