Scottish Indoor League Final Highlights

Last Sunday, twenty-five Livingston athletes were back at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, for the last time this season, to compete in the Indoor League Final.

The club's Under 15 Girls team qualified for the league final having finished 3rd over the three moring matches. Six age group teams from the club were also competing in the separate 4x200m relay event.

In the league final, Rebecca Calder was 5th in the 60m with a new best of 8.74. Rebecca was also 3rd in the 200m in 27.59 and 5th in the long jump with 4.49m.

Iona McDonald won the 300m final in 43.17 and Isla Calvert was 3rd in the 800m in 2:28.37.

In the 60m hurdles final, Rachel Gibb was 5th in 10.90. Rachel was also 5th in the high jump with 1.35m and 6th in the shot putt with a throw of 7.55m

The girls team finished 5th in the final behind Central A, Edinburgh, Giffnock North and Central B.

In the 4x200m relay event, the U13 Girls team of Sophie Ure, Emma Bell, Erin Cameron and Charlie Maree Nolan finished their heat in 5th place with a new club record of 2:10.34.

The U13 Boys team of Geosyl Okocha, Luke McAlear, Robin Threllfall and Elliot Frame were 4th in their heat with a time of 2:16.34.

In the U15 Girls heats, the team of Rebecca Calder, Isla Calvert, Sophie O'Mullan and Iona McDonald (pictured) won their heat in 1:53.71 to secure a place in the final.

The girls ran their final in 1:52.60, over a second quicker that their heat time, to finish 3rd and collect bronze medals. A video of the final is available on the club's Facebook page thanks to Alex McDonald and is worth watching if you've not already seen it!

In the U15 Boys heats, the team of Fraser Morris, Aidan McKeown, Aidan Brady and Andrew Cowie finished their heat 5th in 1:54.20.

The U17 Womens team of Nikki Kinghorn, Eve Allison, Abby Duncan and Chloe McAlear were 4th in their heat in 1:50.96.

And in the U17 Mens heats, Ewan Ballantyne, Rhys Findlay, Fraser Steele and David Threllfall also set a club record with a time of 1:42.42 securing them a 5th place finish.
