Seven of Livingston's female athletes were selected to compete for Team Lothian in round 1 of the Scottish Women's
Athletic League, held at Grangemouth Stadium last Sunday.
Team Lothian is a composite team formed with athletes from five different clubs; Edinburgh AC, Lasswade AC, Dunbar
Running Club, Inverness Harriers AAC and Livingston & District AAC.
Result highlights from the Livingston athletes included; Ella McFarlane's win in the under 13
girls B string 200m, with a personal best time of 30.4; Vicky Dalziel's personal best in the under 17 womens A string 80m hurdles, finishing fourth in 13.0; Yasmin Eddie's
personal best throw in the under 13 girls shot putt, adding 26cm to her previous personal best with a throw of 6.40m; and Rhiannon Armstrong's high jump performance, adding 5cm to
her personal best with a height of 1.40m in the under 15 girls event.
The match was won overall by Edinburgh AC, with 491 points, while Team Lothian finished fifth out of the
eight teams with 354 points.
