National Masters Cross Country Championships

The club had three representatives in the masters cross country championships, held at Irvine last weekend, on
what was a cold but sunny day.
In the womens event, Yvonne Crilly (pictured) finished the 6.6 km course in 27:38, putting her in 20th place overall out of the 70 competitors and 8th in the M45 category, while Sue McDowall finished 42nd overall in a time of 29:41, making her the 6th fastest finisher in the M50 category.
In the mens event, veteran Livingston athlete Ian Leggett completed the three lap 9.9 km course in 43:37, giving him a 2nd place finish in the M65 category and 132nd place overall in a strong field of 169 competitors.
